Solar Cells are made of elemental silicon available in dry sand. When sun rays falls on the solar cells, it converts solar energy into electrical energy. It is in the form of direct current flow. The current from the solar cells can be used to run DC instrument. To use the DC instruments during the night, the electricity generated by the solar module is stored in rechargeable batteries. Several solar cells are arranged in series/parallel to achieve the required voltage to form a SPV (Solar Photovoltaic) module. Any number of such module is required voltage to form a SPV (Solar Photovoltaic) module. Any number of such module can be added depending on the quantity of energy required. A 35 W solar module is required for lighting a house for 3 to 4 hours with high efficient 5-6 Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL), which will be just 1/4th cost of regular electric charges. You can also efficiently use the portable B/W TV, Tape Recorder, Radio, DC Fan etc., with high wattage solar module. The solar home lighting is an excellent solution for household electrification and it also works in rainy season. It is long lasting with low maintenance. | |||||||||||||
